This Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter lets you connect Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air to HDTV or any HDMI display. The new MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air each have a Mini DisplayPort for use with its Thunderbolt port for high definition display and transferring of data. You can use an external display as your main workspace or to extend your desktop, or you can work in mirrored mode with a projector so you can view what your audience sees.

---AUDIO SETUP INSTRUCTIONS---
All you have to do is make sure to switch your audio out to the HDMI setting or else you will only get picture and no sound. From the main home page hit option and the sound icon on the top right of the screen and your HDMI out setting will pop up and select that and you will have sound and video.

The following Apple computers supply multichannel audio (up to 8 channels) and video signals over Mini DisplayPort:
iMac (Late 2009) and later
Mac Pro (Mid 2010)
MacBook (Mid 2010) and later
MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) and later
MacBook Air (Late 2010) and later
** MacBook Pro (Mid 2012), MacBook Air (Mid 2012) users: Please download the software update: "MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0" , "MacBook Air (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0" from Apple web site.
